You may be able to sleep at home after pest control, but there is no universal answer or re-entry time. It depends on the pest, product, treatment method, rooms treated, ventilation and household occupants. Follow the product label and the technician’s written instructions, and do not use a treated bedroom until it has been cleared for re-entry.

Confirm these points before the technician leaves
- Which rooms and surfaces were treated?
- Is the bedroom part of the treatment zone?
- When can each area be re-entered?
- Does bedding, clothing or food need special handling?
- Are ventilation or cleaning steps required?
- When can children and pets return?
Do not guess from smell. A room can have little odour and still be subject to access instructions, while a noticeable smell does not itself define the safe re-entry point.
If an evening appointment could affect sleeping arrangements, ask before treatment begins. That gives the technician a chance to explain the sequence, untreated areas and any temporary absence required.
