“10-year termite treatment” is a marketing shorthand, not one universal treatment. It may refer to a product’s stated service period, an installed system, a treatment-zone claim or a warranty period, each with conditions. The only reliable meaning comes from the exact product, installation record, treated areas, service requirements and exclusions.

Ask for five documents or answers
- What product or system was installed?
- Which areas of the property were included?
- What inspections, monitoring or servicing are required?
- What property changes can affect the treatment?
- What conditions, exclusions and owner responsibilities apply?
Do not assume a stated period means the property cannot have termite activity during that time. Whole-property inspections, active treatment and system maintenance perform different jobs.
Renovations, new services, landscaping, leaks, drainage work and disturbed soil can also change the conditions that existed when treatment was installed.
