Nothing kills cockroaches “permanently” in every property. Lasting control depends on identifying the cockroach, locating harbourage, reducing food and moisture, selecting treatment for the site, reaching relevant areas and checking whether activity returns. A product may kill exposed cockroaches without resolving eggs, concealed harbourage or new introductions.

Build a complete control plan
Useful steps include:
- Identify the likely species and concentration of activity.
- Inspect warm, dark and damp gaps near food and water.
- Clean food residue and store food in closed containers.
- Repair leaks and reduce persistent moisture where practical.
- Remove cardboard and clutter that creates harbourage.
- Use a treatment method suited to the location and occupants.
- Monitor after treatment and follow the stated service plan.
Avoid scattering unplanned products across the same area. Some treatments rely on cockroaches contacting or feeding on carefully placed material, and incompatible use can make the result harder to assess.
In units or commercial premises, adjoining areas, deliveries, waste handling and shared service voids may influence reinfestation pressure.
